Melinda Schnur & Jeff Sugrue
Melinda Schnur. Your Realtor. Your Teacher. Your Negotiator. Your Confidant.
A quick search on Google defines “Realtor” as “an agent for the sale and purchase of buildings and land.” Melinda Schnur knows better. Real estate is about people expressing their emotions, preserving and making memories, and, ultimately, finding the perfect home or getting top dollar for their property.
Celebrating nearly 15 years in real estate, Melinda has reimagined the profession, putting people at its core. Her first priority is educating clients to make good decisions. She dismisses the notion that clients are at the mercy of a complex process and makes the home selling or buying experience as simple, meaningful, and seamless as possible.
Melinda understands clients expect efficient communication and delivers on this promise. It’s not unusual for her to be texting from an ice arena, drawing up an agreement at midnight, or responding to an email while on vacation. She does whatever, whenever, to achieve optimal results for her clients.
She does so because it comes with the territory but moreover because she truly cares about her clients. Melinda relates to first-time buyers scraping their pennies together, imagines what a nursery might look like alongside expectant parents, and comes to adore the widow selling a home built on decades of love.
Melinda’s gift for building relationships is matched by her knack for brokering transactions. Drawing on her experience at a fast-paced, high-tech company, Melinda’s negotiation skills are impeccable. She interweaves what people want and are willing to give and makes magic happen on behalf of her clients.
Pressure is never part of the equation with Melinda. Results always are. Bottom line, she helps clients get what they want. She understands real estate is where hope meets risk, connection leads the way, and the stakes are high. She is committed to happy endings and walks with clients every step of the way.
When Melinda isn’t helping people sell or buy a home, she can likely be found enjoying life with her husband Jason, playing with her two children, or cheering on her beloved Nittany Lions. Melinda studied at Penn State University, worked in staffing management at Proxicom, and became a realtor in 2003. Melinda is also an avid supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network.
